Geauga County Inmate Search & Jail Records
Jail records are documents generated by the Geauga County Sheriff's Office when a person is booked at the county jail following an arrest. These records are created at the time of arrest and they are different from court case records. Booking information often includes the inmate's full name, date of birth, address, gender, charges, arrest date and time, custody status, and mugshot.
The Geauga County Sheriff's Office oversees the county's correctional operations and is responsible for maintaining these records and making them available upon request. The Geauga County Jail (officially referred to as theGeauga County Safety Center) is a medium-security facility located in Chardon. The facility houses individuals awaiting trial as well as those serving shorter sentences. For inmates transferred to state custody, theOhio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction (ODRC) maintains a searchable offender database at the state level.
To conduct an inmate search or request records, contact the Geauga County Sheriff's Office at (440) 279-2009 or visit in person during regular business hours.
